This fictional instrument workshop notebook has a recurring editorial notice in its main text. It is not a repair manual and supplies no instructions for working on a real instrument. The pages are owned synthetic calibration fixtures. Their case narratives use an independent topic and writing style so that a family held out from exploratory analysis is not merely another copy of a training family's story.

The workshop glossary used two different names for the same feature of the model. A student had copied one term from an old diagram and another from a recent lesson. The new catalogue entry linked the terms but did not replace the student's original wording. A later editor marked this as a revised version of the same account.

An exhibition assistant compared the demonstration photographs with the notebook sequence. A photograph showed a different arrangement of tools, yet the case narrative concerned the same paper model. The assistant recorded the distinction between a changed setting and a changed subject.
