This fictional instrument workshop notebook has a recurring editorial notice in its main text. It is not a repair manual and supplies no instructions for working on a real instrument. The pages are owned synthetic calibration fixtures. Their case narratives use an independent topic and writing style so that a family held out from exploratory analysis is not merely another copy of a training family's story.

The paper soundboard drawing used letters that differed from the workshop glossary. A margin note linked the two conventions. The editor preserved both systems so a reader could follow the older lesson.

A box of spare labels contained names from several demonstrations. Staff sorted the labels by their printed lesson codes, recording the original mixed order in a photograph before rearranging them.
